Viewed as a defiant state, Iran also seems to challenge US's interest in the region and beyond. Iran's nuclear program is feared to generate a nuclear arm race in the region and greatly hampering regional security, power balance and international non-proliferation efforts.
Iran's nuclear Saga presents a conceptual and analytical analysis of these threat perceptions at regional and global level. This book endeavors to investigate the possibility of nuclear chain reaction in the region. For this purpose this book has particularly focused to assess the political and security implications with regard to six gulf monarchies called GCC and Israel. The book also offers an in- depth analysis of Iran's nuclear deal brokered among Iran and Western powers in 2015 and its fate.
Dr. Tamknat has served Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an Export Control Officer. She is a trainer and a resource person on disarmament, nuclear non-proliferation and export control related activities. She served as faculty member in department of International Relations in NUML and Fatima Jinnah Women University.
